The focus of the Marketing specialization in our programme is to enable students to learn about harmonizing resources and objectives of organizations with need and opportunities in the market place. They are exposed to basic optimal use of the marketing mix – product, price, place and promotion and the suitable use of STP to achieve business goals. They also learn about product differentiation, demand stimulation, positioning, and advertising and brand management. The key is the orientation they are given in terms of analytical and computing skills that would enable them to present sound and innovative solutions to practical marketing problems.
It attempts to provide insights needed to identify marketing opportunities, develop appropriate strategies and then put them into action. All these activities involve planning, analysis and decision making, all of which are well covered by courses offered and go into making of a marketing manager who understands the intricacies involved in the marketing function.
